#UNITEIOWA. In the spring of 2016, Kyle Munson from The Des Moines Register and students from Drake University partnered to host five impactful community dialogues on racism. I had the opportunity to direct, film, and edit a documentary capturing the essence of these crucial conversations. The film delves into the complex issues surrounding racism, presenting insights from both students and community members. Premiering at the final dialogue event, this documentary serves as a powerful exploration of racial dynamics.
Following the dialogue series, I created an immersive social media video to continue the conversation on racial issues. These efforts not only highlighted the importance of addressing racism but also provided a platform for ongoing dialogue and reflection.
